The shores of Llanquihue lake have long history of Germanic colonization. Before 1850 these lands were all jungle and forest with almost no human settlements. The German immigrants came with their families looking for a new life in this unknown southern territory. Arriving to this savage and indomitable land they made new lives, with their characteristic strength and decisiveness. Their families grew and prospered as did their agriculture and industries in the region.

These routes are designed to understand more about the rich heritage of these settlers through enjoying visiting to an interesting museum and productive centers like a brewery, organic farm and apiculture (bees) center.
